Getting Started with Claude

An AI assistant for the paperwork, the job search, the side business, and the 2 a.m. questions

Our Recommendation

WomenPartyUSA recommends Claude Pro, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, for $20 a month (U.S. price). A free version is also available at claude.ai.

Members subscribe and pay Anthropic directly. WomenPartyUSA does not pay for or reimburse subscriptions.

WomenPartyUSA is not affiliated with Anthropic and receives no payment, commission, or referral fee for this recommendation.

Claude is not a WomenPartyUSA product. We did not build it and we do not run it. We recommend it because it is a practical tool that can save you time and money, and because we think every woman should have a capable assistant in her pocket.

What Claude Is Good For

  • Benefits and paperwork: reading a denial letter, explaining a form, drafting an appeal

  • Work: resumes, cover letters, interview practice, asking for a raise

  • Small business and side income: pricing, a simple business plan, customer emails, social posts

  • Money basics: building a budget, understanding a bill or a loan offer

  • Understanding the news: a plain-language summary of a law, a court ruling, or a news story

  • Learning new skills: the basics of AI, crypto, and new technology, explained at your pace

  • Everyday life: meal plans on a budget, travel plans, a hard email you have been putting off

What to Know Before You Start

  • Claude won’t take sides in politics. On political questions it gives a balanced picture of different views. It will not argue for WomenPartyUSA or any other party, and that is by design.

  • Double-check anything important. Claude can make mistakes. For legal, medical, tax, or money decisions, use its answer as a starting point and confirm with a professional or an official source.

  • Protect your private information. Don’t type in your Social Security number, bank or card numbers, or passwords. You can black out those details before uploading a document.

  • You are in charge. Claude drafts and explains, but you decide what to send, sign, or submit.

  2. Create a free account with your email.

  3. Optional: to upgrade, go to claude.ai/upgrade and choose Pro.

Tip: on claude.ai you can also save details like this in your settings so you don’t have to paste them every time.
